Një patate gjigante me peshë 2 kg e 210 gr është zbuluar në Shishtavec. Fermeri Jelen Hoxha ka treguar se u surprizua kur në tokat e Kukësit gjeti pataten e madhe.
Ai zbuloi se është kujdesur çdo vit njësoj, por kjo patate ishte e rrallë.
Edhe pse pensionist, Jeleni vazhdon të punojë pa ndalim, duke edukuar fëmijët dhe nipërit. Ai tha se ka 9 fëmijë, shumica prej të cilëve jetojnë jashtë vendit.
“E kemi shkulur me makinë dhe na bëri kurioz. Aty në fshat kemi një lokal dhe kush gjen pataten më të madhe keni një stimul prej 10 mijë lekësh.
Edhe në përfundim kur gjeta pataten e madhe u habitëm. Neve në fakt e kemi pasur kultivimin e patates si kulturë ndër breza. Tani jam bërë i famshëm me këtë patate deri në Amerikë. Unë i kam bërë shërbim si në të gjitha vitet e tjera, edhe këtë vit, por zoti e di. Nuk ka asnjë stimulim, është bio.
Në punë do lodhesh, do çlodhesh. Unë kam 9 fëmijë. Më të mëdhajat kam dy vajzat të martuara në Angli, kam djalin në Amerikë. Kam vajzën në fakultet në Bullgari për psikologe. Kam edhe djalin që do të shkoj në ndonjë shkollë profesionale, sipas dëshirës së tij”, u shpreh fermeri.
