Ndërkohë një muaj më parë, ai së bashku me bashkëshorten e tij dhuruan për Shqipërinë 300.000 maska mbrojtëse, 100 mijë për spitalin Lezhë, Bashkinë dhe Drejtorinë e Policisë dhe 200 mijë për spitalin Nënë Tereza në Tiranë.
I pyetur për këtë nismë ai u shpreh: “Zemra dhe gj aku im i përkasin Shqipërisë. Maskat i sollëm jo sepse kanë munguar në Shqipëri, por si një nismë që rrodhi nga zemra ime dhe nga dashamirësia e nuses time. Ne dëshironim t’i vinim në ndihmë bluzave të bardha që po rre zikojnë me ar mikun. Fatmirësisht qeveria shqiptare i ka marrë masat në kohë, pasi mund të pë sonim fatin e Italisë fqinje, Amerikës, Indisë etj. Në këtë situatë që po jetojmë nuk dimë si mund të zgjohemi nesër, ndaj mos e merrni si lojë por tregohuni sa më të kujdesshëm”. Rolando Lekaj ka ndërmarrë shpesh nisma për të ndihmuar njerëzit në nevojë dhe ata që e njohin e përgëzojnë, por ka dhe nga ata persona që duket se e kanë bezdisur atë: “Pas daljeve të mia televizive ndodh shpesh që më shkruajnë dhe më kërkojnë lekë borxh për të bërë pushime apo për të blerë shtëpi”.
